After drawing a blank yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Wednesday 11th July. P&L +109.72pts.
3:20 Yarmouth- It’s a Freebee 6/4 (1pt)
It’s A Freebee ended up disappointing over the last couple of seasons over hurdles and fences but looks be back enjoying racing since moving to Richard Spencer and running on the flat.
He finished 5th in a strong maiden before a close second behind the 98 rated Elgin on his second start on the flat. He made his handicap debut off a mark of 73 where he finished 2nd at this course over a shorter trip before showing improved form when upped in trip to 2 miles at Chelmsford off the same mark. The form of that run has been boosted by the winner Sanam following up next time and making it a hat-trick.
It’s A Freebee has been raised 2lb for that run but the switch back to turf looks sure to suit and he should have a good chance in this race.
8:55 Kempton- Blazed 7/2 (1pt ew)
Blazed has run well in three of his four starts this season and if breaking on terms should have a good chance here.
He finished placed on his first two starts this season off marks of 72 and 73 before disappointing at this course off a mark of 74. That run was over 5f but he was slowly away and had to use his energy to recover from the start and therefore weakened late on.
Blazed bounced back at Nottingham last time out when only beaten ¾ length and he should have a good chance back on the AW despite a 3lb rise to a mark of 77. One bookmaker is offering four places in this race and that looks a good each way bet in this race.
