After a 4/1 winner yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Tuesday 9th January. Jan P&L +0.10pts.
1:25 Doncaster- Ravenhill Road 4/5 (3pt)
Ravenhill Road has won his four starts, a PTP, two bumpers and a novice hurdle, by a total of 56 lengths combined. You can pick holes in his overall form but the manner of those victories have been really impressive. He faces French Crusader having to concede him 7lb but the form of his bumper victory hasn’t worked out too well either. Ravenhill Road could prove to be a Cheltenham horse and it would be hugely disappointing if he was beaten.
2:35 Doncaster- Ruby Yeats 6/1 (1pt ew)
Ruby Yeats won a Mares’ Maiden Hurdle at 40/1 on her first start for Harry Whittington last season beating Miss Night Owl by 1 ¼ lengths. That rival is now rated 127 over hurdles and Ruby Yeats runs here off a mark of 120. She then finished second behind Verdana Blue at Hereford by 3 lengths and that form looks fantastic with the winner now rated 145! Ruby Yeats then disappointed in a Grade 2 but she was never travelling that day and didn’t run again that season. She returns in cheekpieces for Harry Whittington in this race who is currently operating at a 57% strike rate having won 4/7 races. She looks a rock solid each way bet for an in form yard in an open race.
