Following a frustrating 6/1 second place yesterday, Steve Ryder previews three races on Tuesday 13th August. P&L +72.02pts.
3:15 Ffos Las- Royal Council 7/4 (1pt)
Royal Council has put in his two best performances so far over 5f. The first was on debut despite only finishing third of three runners before finishing second on his handicap debut in a nursery last time off a mark of 69.
Royal Council has been raised 1lb for that effort but is interestingly fitted with a first time visor and should go well.
4:55 Lingfield- Sleepdancer 10/1 (0.5pt ew)
Sleepdancer has shown very little in his three starts so far but is interesting on handicap debut off an opening mark of 52. He has had a wind operation since his last run and is also fitted with a first time tongue tie and first time cheekpieces.
As well as those differences, Sleepdancer is also stepped up drastically in trip up to nearly 2 miles and could go well at a double figure price with four places on offer.
5:45 Carlisle- Forever A Lady 9/2 (1pt)
Forever A Lady looks the only horse who will enjoy the heavy ground at Carlisle in this race and if she can run to her recent form then she should prove hard to beat. She won on soft ground at Ayr on her penultimate start off a mark of 59 before finishing third over the same C&D on heavy ground off a pound higher.
Forever A Lady runs here off the same mark of 60 today and with no doubts about the going then should prove hard to beat.
