Steve Ryder previews the Top Novices’ Hurdle on Day 2 of the Aintree Festival. 2019 P&L +11.43pts.
2:20 Aintree- Aramon 4/1 (1pt)
Aramon is the top rated in the race with an official rating of 152 and looks to hold claims for connections of Kemboy who was so impressive yesterday. He is experienced for a novice with seven runs over hurdles including a victory in the Grade 1 Champions Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown in December. His best run came at the Dublin Racing Festival when he finished a head behind stablemate Klassical Dream. Aramon ran well in the Supreme Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham to finish 6th where he just weakened up the hill on soft ground.
Aramon will be better suited by the flat track at Aintree and could prove hard to beat.
