Following a disappointing day yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Thursday 25th April. P&L +20.78pts.
3:20 Beverley- Motafaawit 3/1 (1pt)
Motafaawit could be well handicapped off an opening mark of 90 judged on the form of his two runs on turf. The horse who finished runner up behind him on debut is now rated 96 and the horse who beat him by a head on his second start is now rated 105. The handicapper seems to have given his rating based on his AW run at the end of the season when 3rd at Chelmsford but it could be that he is better suited by turf.
Motafaawit has been gelded over the winter and if Richard Hannon has him ready to go after 236 days off then he should be involved in the finish.
6:30 Chelmsford- Walk On Walter 11/4 (1pt)
Walk On Walter has been in fantastic form on the AW recently with form figures of 1121. He won twice at Wolverhampton off marks of 73 and 76 before just getting mugged on the line over this C&D two starts ago of 80. He won well on his reappearance off a mark of 83 and deserved the 7lb rise for a three length victory.
Walk On Walter is well suited by Chelmsford being a prominent racer and from Stall 2 should be able to get a good position from the start.
