Following a 9/1 place yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Thursday 16th May. P&L +52.33pts.
3:35 York- Mutafani 13/2 (1pt ew)
Despite a 338 day absence, Mutafani is by far the most interesting horse in the field. He ran well at Windsor on his second start to finish 3rd before winning a novice race at Chelmsford when employing front running tactics for the first time. He stretched over 2 lengths clear at the finish under Silvestre De Sousa and the same combination won easily at Thirsk under a penalty on his final start last season.
Mutafani runs here off a mark of 91 on handicap debut and with five places available each way he should run well.
8:05 Newmarket- Holy Kingdom 10/1 (0.5pt ew)
Holy Kingdom ran well on all three starts on the AW earlier this season and is interesting on his turf and handicap debut. He is by the sire Australia who have shown lots of progression the older they get and he could outrun his double figure odds.
