Following a disappointing day yesterday, Steve Ryder previews three races on Thursday 14th February. P&L +20.51pts.
3:35 Kelso- Lord Wishes 16/1 (1pt)
Lord Wishes is a previous course winner who has tumbled down the weights from a rating of 134 over hurdles in October 2016 down to a mark of 117 for todays race. He won after an 82 and 77 day break in 2016 so we know he has gone well fresh in the past.
If Lord Wishes retains his ability as a 12 year old after a 607 day break, he could hit the frame.
5:20 Chelmsford- Magicinthemaking 3/1 (1pt)
Magicinthemaking has won his last two at Chelmsford, both over 6f off marks of 48 and 51. She steps up in trip to 7f in this race and given she has stayed on well in her last two races that looks sure to suit.
Magicinthemaking is only 2lb higher than her victory here 35 days ago and should prove hard to beat.
8:30 Chelmsford- Squire 15/2 (0.5pt ew)
Squire has been running well at Chelmsford this season with form figures of 4132 in his last four runs here. His latest run was a 2nd place finish off this mark when stepped up to 1m2f so he should be able to hit the frame given the two market leaders have poor draws from Stalls 14 and 15.
With Squire coming out of Stall 5 and having recent C&D form, he should run well with four places on offer.
