Wednesday – Feyenoord vs AC Milan

Wolfgang Shotten; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You

Rationale:

This Champions League encounter is set up perfectly for goals, with both sides favouring attacking football over defensive solidity. Feyenoord’s matches in the group stages were among the most high-scoring, with only Barcelona’s games producing more goals overall. The Dutch side have struggled at the back, conceding more goals than any other team to reach this stage, yet they remain potent going forward.

Milan’s defensive frailties have been evident throughout the season, but their quality in attack ensures they remain a threat. With the likes of Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leão capable of making a difference, they are more than capable of breaching Feyenoord’s defence. Adding further intrigue is the presence of Santiago Giménez, who recently moved from Rotterdam to Milan and will be eager to make his mark against his former club. Given both teams’ preference for an open style of play, goals at both ends seem highly probable.

Thursday – Porto vs Roma

Herrin Kendrick; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You

Rationale:

Both Porto and Roma have had inconsistent campaigns, with neither side managing to sustain defensive stability. Roma have been particularly vulnerable at the back, conceding in eight of their last nine matches. While Claudio Ranieri has steadied the ship since taking over, his team remain susceptible to defensive lapses.

Porto, meanwhile, have found wins hard to come by, with just one victory in their last eight outings. However, they have been competitive, with three of their last four matches ending in score draws. Their attack remains capable, and against a Roma side that has struggled for clean sheets on the road, they should find the net. At the same time, Porto’s defensive issues leave them exposed to Roma’s attacking threats, making a goal from the visitors just as likely.

Best Bet – Both Teams to Score

Friday – Brighton vs Chelsea

John Pentin; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You

Rationale:

Brighton and Chelsea meet once again, just a week after their FA Cup clash, where the Seagulls emerged 2-1 winners. That result provided a much-needed boost for Brighton, who had endured a difficult run of form, including a heavy 7-0 loss to Nottingham Forest. Manager Fabian Hurzeler is under pressure, but his side showed resilience in bouncing back with a victory.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have been inconsistent, struggling to maintain momentum in the Premier League. Their squad looked well-balanced earlier in the season, but recent transfer activity has unsettled the team. They needed a comeback win against West Ham to secure only their second victory in eight league games, further highlighting their struggles. Given both teams’ defensive issues and their ability to score, another match with goals at both ends seems the most likely outcome.

Best Bet – Both Teams to Score

Saturday – Aston Villa vs Ipswich

Steve Harrington; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You

Rationale:

Aston Villa have been a force at home this season, but their defensive frailties continue to persist. Their last seven matches at Villa Park have all seen them concede, even in games they have won convincingly. Unai Emery’s men are strong going forward but remain vulnerable at the back.

Ipswich, under Kieran McKenna, have been excellent in attack, particularly on their travels. They have managed to score in eight of their last ten away fixtures, with only elite defensive units at Arsenal and Nottingham Forest managing to keep them at bay. Given Villa’s attacking firepower and Ipswich’s ability to cause problems, this fixture has all the ingredients for a home win with both teams finding the net.

Best Bet – Aston Villa to Win & Both Teams to Score

Sunday – Tottenham vs Manchester United

Gram Dodd; Sports journalist at BettingTips4You

Rationale:

Tottenham host Manchester United in what promises to be an intriguing contest between two sides struggling for consistency. Spurs may sit higher in the table, but their form has been erratic, and they have suffered recent cup eliminations. However, the return of key players such as James Maddison and Brennan Johnson should provide a much-needed attacking boost.

Manchester United’s defensive record is concerning, with Lisandro Martínez’s absence leaving them exposed at the back. Their struggles away from home in big games have been well documented, and Tottenham’s attacking quality should see them take advantage. At the same time, Spurs’ defensive issues have persisted throughout the season, and United have shown they can capitalise when given space. Given these factors, backing both teams to get on the scoresheet looks a solid selection.
