The Cesarewitch Betting Odds

The Cesarewitch was established way back in 1839 and over the year has become one of the most popular races that take place at Newmarket.

Differently from the Cambridgeshire, the Cesarewitch is a stayer’s handicap which is run over 2 miles and 2 furlongs. The last part of the race are on the Rowley Mile. Horses aged three years or more can take part.

This is a race that attracts not only Flat but also National Hunt trainers. In fact, National Hunt trainers have performed much better in recent times. The Cesarewitch takes place on the final Newmarket Champions Meeting in mid-October. The Cesarewitch and the Cambridgeshire make up the famous ‘Autumn double’ and are of great interest to punters. No more than 34 runners can take part.
