Match Preview & Team News
Brentford managed a miraculous comeback on Saturday when they were two goals behind coming into the final six minutes against Millwall. Nevertheless, substitutes Pelenda Dasilva and Brian Mbeumo brought them back on level terms within four minutes before the star striker Ollie Watkins sealed the victory with a goal in the fourth minute of the added time. It was his eighth goal of the campaign, the one which came after he missed the penalty midway through the first half.
The Bees will thus travel to Liberty Stadium for the 13th round clash against Swansea City in the highest of spirits aiming to build on such a magnificent comeback win. Thomas Frank’s men entered the season on a low, but they grew in form and confidence lately and will now travel to Wales with just one defeat in the last five games in the league.
Swansea City were the most pleasant surprise of the campaign in the opening 10 rounds, but their form looks to have hit a stumbling block as the team took just one point from the last two matches. It is a poor return indeed since the opposition came in the likes of bottom-half strugglers Stoke City and Barnsley. The team led by Steve Cooper fell down to third place as a consequence. They picked up just one point in the last three home affairs against Nottingham Forest, Reading and Stoke City. The Swans will, however, rely on the head to head tradition as they’ve won seven on the spin against the Bees netting at least two goals in each of the victories along the way.
Full Time Winner Odds & Prediction
Even though the visitors will come into the match in higher spirits, we have to see the value in backing the Swans to win at 13/8 odds given they came on top in each of the last seven meetings with Brentford.
Goals Market Prediction
Swansea shipped at least a goal in each of the last three home fixtures, while the Bees head into this on the back of a five-goal thriller against Millwall. The alternate pick is Both Teams To Score at 4/6 odds.
