Following a 7/1 winner and 10/1 and 6/1 places yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Sunday 31st March. P&L +16.28pts.
5:05 Ascot- Kings Ryde 5/4 (1pt)
Kings Ryde is a lightly raced 7 year old who defied a 14 month absence when he won at Wincanton 24 days ago. That was on handicap debut off a mark of 127 where he won cosily by ¾ length.
Kings Ryde has been raised 5lb for that effort which seems fair and the step up in trip looks sure to suit.
5:30 Doncaster- Country N Western 15/2 (0.5pt ew)
Unlike many of his rivals, Country N Western is race fit having run recently on both the AW and over jumps. He won an AW handicap in December off a mark of 65 and has since finished 2nd off marks of 71 and 72.
Country N Western runs in this Amateur Riders’ Handicap off a mark of 72 and hopefully he can make his fitness tell in a race with five places on offer.
