3:30 Cheltenham- Top Notch 14/1 (0.5pt ew)
I think Paisley Park is the most likely winner of the race but I think the bet would be to back Top Notch each way with four places available. He has good festival form having finished 2nd in the Triumph Hurdle in 2015, 5th in the Champion Hurdle in 2016 and 2nd in the JLT Chase in 2017. He has been running well over fences for the last three seasons but connections have decided to revert him back to hurdles for this race. He has done this twice for his reappearance runs but these can be ignored as he is a horse who needs his first run and even the form of his JLT Hurdle run would give him a chance of placing.
Top Notch finished 3rd behind Paisley Park only beaten 5 lengths at the finish but travelled and jumped well into the race before his lack of fitness showed. Paisley Park and West Approach have boosted that form since and it wouldn’t surprise me if he wasn’t involved in the finish of the race.
