Following a 2/1 (50p R4) winner yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Saturday 20th July. P&L +86.14pts.
2:40 Newmarket- Dame Malliot 16/1 (0.5pt ew)
Three year olds dominate the betting for this race and preference goes to completely unexposed Dame Malliot. She was a rare debut winner for Ed Vaughan in December as a two year old at Wolverhampton where she won well over just shy of 1m2f. She made her reappearance at Chelmsford in a conditions race but was hampered at the start from Stall 14 and had no chance in with the winner from a position near the rear.
Dame Malliot was still thought of as a Ribblesdale Stakes filly and should have a good chance with her sights lowered and four places on offer.
3:00 Newbury- Khaadem 7/1 (0.5pt ew)
Khaadem had looked to be on a progressive curve before a below effort in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot. He won two races as a two year old including a race on good to soft ground before making a winning reappearance over C&D in the listed Carnarvon Stakes. A few horses disappointed in the Commonwealth Cup and the form of the race has been boosted by Ten Sovereigns and Advertise finishing 1-2 in the July Cup and the fifth Royal Intervention winning a Group 3 at York.
The owner won this race last season with the three year old Yafta and hopefully Khaadem can win this having a similar profile.
