Following a disappointing day yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Saturday 20th April. P&L +22.34pts.
1:50 Musselburgh- Commander Han 8/1 (0.5pt ew)
As mentioned on the On The Hunt Podcast this week, Kevin Ryan won this race with the four year old Luawila last season and they bid to win it again this year with the four year old Commander Han. He ran well on his final two starts last season when 3rd and 2nd at Chelmsford and reappears this season off a mark of 90.
Commander Han won on his reappearance last season so that isn’t a concern and he should go well in an open race.
5:00 Newton Abbott- Grande Waltz 11/4 (1pt)
The Skelton yard do well with recruits from other yards and they will hope that they can do the same with Grande Waltz on his first start for the stable. He is 0-9 over hurdles but runs here after a wind operation and is fitted with first time cheekpieces.
Off this lowly mark of 87, hopefully Grande Waltz can show improvement and win on his stable debut.
