Following a 16/1 place yesterday, Steve Ryder previews three races on Saturday 13th April. P&L +9.76pts.
2:25 Ayr- Mister Fisher 4/1 (0.5pt ew)
Mister Fisher was my selection for the Grade 1 at Aintree so I have to fancy him off a mark of 145 in this. He won a competitive novice hurdle at Kempton beating subsequent Grade 1 placed horses Rouge Vif and Thomas Darby before following up in the Grade 2 Supreme Trial at Haydock. The form of that run has been boosted by Bright Forecast finishing 3rd in the Ballymore at Cheltenham.
It was obviously disappointing to see Mister Fisher only finish 8th in the Supreme but I think the soft ground is a valid excuse and the return to better ground should see him run well here with five places available.
2:45 Bangor- Solar Impulse 4/1 (0.5pt ew)
Solar Impulse is chucked in on his best form where he won at the Grand Annual at Cheltenham off a mark of 140. He moved to the shrewd Ian Williams yard and was well backed to make a winning stable debut off 119. He was stepped up to 2m4f last time where he was travelling well, if not a little keen, before unseating his rider at the 11th.
Solar Impulse runs here off a career low mark of 117 and should run well.
7:00 Wolverhampton- Murdanova 6/1 (0.5pt ew)
Murdanova has a good course record with four victories off marks of 68, 65, 70, 75 with his last three coming over this distance. He ran over this C&D two starts ago when finishing 3rd off a mark of 75 beaten only 1 ½ lengths.
Murdanova has been dropped 1lb for a poor effort at Lingfield but will hopefully bounce back to form over his preferred C&D off a mark of 74.
