2:50 Cheltenham- Road To Respect 4/1 (0.5pt ew)
Road To Respect announced himself as a chaser to follow when he won the Brown Advisory Plate by 6 lengths in 2017 before adding two Grade 1s to his record later that season. He won the Grade 1 Christmas Chase at Leopardstown last year before the soft ground went against him last year in the Gold Cup. He still ran a fantastic race that day to finish 4th where he just faded up the hill. He has been better than ever this season with a win in the JNWine Chase at Down Royal before having excuses on his last two starts.
Connections have decided to run Road To Respect in this race rather than the Gold Cup which looks a good move as his stamina isn’t guaranteed over 3m2f and with a strong pace guaranteed in this race he should be staying on up the hill at the finish. He can be backed each way with four places on offer which looks a good bet to me.
