Japan 2019 World Cup Tips And Predictions
Japan 2019 World Cup Winner Tips
This is what betting fans can expect from the different top teams:
They are the top favourites to win the William Webb Ellis Cup for the third time in a row. Anything less then a win will be seen as a failure. In the past, the pressure has caused issues to the All Blacks. In the previous two tournaments have shown that they are simply the best team in the World. Coach Steve Hansen has a fantastic record, and another title will be the best way to end his reign. We believe New Zealand have great chances of winning but there is little value in backing them as the odds are too slim and let’s not forget the World Cup is a tournament that can deliver upsets.
The feeling is that the Springboks are working towards something special. They showed that by defeating the All Blacks in 2018 in New Zealand. They have a fantastic fullback superstar in Willie le Roux. At 5/1 with Betfred this is our choice. We are backing South Africa to win the 2019 Rugby World Cup In Japan.
Surely have a very good record at this event but their form has been somewhat patchy in 2018. Coach Michael Cheka tried to revitalise the squad and surely have top players like Israel Folau and Kurtley Beale but I don’t see the Wallabies claiming their third World Cup title.
Will try to bounce back following the horrible performance of the World Cup in 2015 when they were eliminated in the group stage. They are one of the best teams in the northern hemisphere and coach Eddie Jones has a great experience, but I feel something is missing when it comes to taking on the likes of New Zealand or South Africa. They will do much better than in 2015, but they might come short.
There are lots of expectations after they did the grand slam in the Six Nation in 2018. They now need to prove themselves on the biggest stage and similarly to what said for England the feeling is that something is still missing. The Irish have a golden generation of players but we don’t seem them go past the semis.
Like Ireland and England are one of the best teams in the Northern Hemisphere. They have scored a Grand Slam win in 2019 Six Nations and could cause trouble to the struggling Wallabies as they are sitting on the same group. Winning the World Cup is another matter though but at 8/1 might be an attractive each-way bet.
Japan 2019 World Cup Pools Tips
Ireland should have what it takes to win Pool A with a 100% record. We expect them to do much better in Japan compared with their last six nations campaign and likely to have too much for their rivals.
Second place is trickier, but we are going for Japan although this is likely to be a close one with Scotland and Samoa. All those three teams are pretty similar but Japan have the home advantage.
- New Zealand
- South Africa
The whole World Cup could be decided in the third encounter when New Zealand are facing South Africa. The winner will top the group and might face England in the semis. The loser will probably have to face either Wales or Ireland.
Even if New Zealand have had a rocky World Cup preparation, we are going for the All-Blacks to win this group. The recent poor results in the Rugby Championship crown should have helped the team refocus and we expect they will be back in form in Japan.
This has been called “The pool of death”. England might not be yet the finished article that Eddie Jones wanted, but surely they have what it takes to defeat both Argentina and France. Those two sides have gone backwards in the last two years. Both France and Argentina can turn it on in a World Cup but we are backing Los Pumas to secure the second place.
The reason is that they have had better preparation in the Rugby Championship and have shown to have stopped their decline. France, on the other hand, have been beaten by both Italy and Scotland and they are the shadow of the team they once were.
We expect that their opponents will test both Wales and Australia, but they have what it takes to secure the first and second place in this pool. Wales should top this group. They are on a 14 match winning run and have recorded a Six Nations Grand Slam. The loss of fly-half Gareth Anscombe is a significant blow for them. Australia have been poor in the last 18 months, and our opinion is that they will just make it into the quarters’ finals thanks to a second-place position.
