Garbrandt To Win On Points
£20 bet returns £110 with Bet365
Many believe that Cody Garbrandt has now passed his peak on his career and that he will never become UFC champion once again. We are not sure about this statement as he is very hungry still, and if he can manage to move up the rankings can easily get another shot at the belt.
After convincingly winning six UFC fights, he became the UFC bantamweight champion after winning against Dominick Cruz on points at UFC 207. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t manage to hold the title for long and lost his next three fights. After dropping the belt against T.J Dillashaw at UFC 217, he lost again against Dillashaw at UFC 227 and followed that up with another defeat when Pedro Munhoz knocked him out in the first round at UFC 235. His career looked well over at that point, but he went back to the basics and came back with an impressive success in two round over Raphael Assuncao in the last June.

Who will win Rob Font v Cody Garbrandt fight?
Garbrandt will know well that to gain another title shot, he will have to win and impress against Font. His opponent is not an easy one by all means, as he is currently ranking number three, but he hasn’t probably faced anyone with the quality of Garbrandt. The 33 years old has delivered 18 wins and 4 defeats in his career, with three of those in the UFC. Although he has faced some decent opponents, nothing was outstanding.
Even if Font has won the last three bouts, he was defeated in the UFC in July 2018 by Assuncao, which is the last opponent that Garbrandt has knocked out. Font will be keen to add another important scalp like Garbrandt, but we don’t see this happening. Garbrandt has too much experience, and it is too smart for Font, so we expect him to prevail on points and make a significant step towards having another title chance.
