Main Bet: Romain Langasque

The best value for this week is, in our opinion, Frenchman Romain Langasque. The 26-year old, who won his first tournament at this level 18 months ago, has started the new season in a very promising form with a tied 12th at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and tied 18th last week in the Dubai Desert Classic. If we look at his achievements in the UAE, we can see some solid form as he has recorded 12 starts and 11 top 40s, and six top 20s. We have a relatively weakened field this week, so he has great opportunities to shine. He loved to play at the Karen Country Club in the Kenya Open on the Challenge Tour, which correlates well with this week’s course. He has also maintained his form in the main tour, and could well be his week. At this big price, it is worth a shot for sure.

Marcus Kinhult (Each-Way) To Win

£20 bet returns £4,020 with Betvictor

Each Way Bet: Marcus Kinhult

Of the many outsiders, we do like Marcus Kinhult, who has an excellent price and could do well on this course. Six years ago, he finished tied fourth in this event and led the field by two strokes after 54 holes. The following year he returned to secure a tied 19th. Generally, he has done very well in the Middle East as he was second at Al Mouj in Oman on the second tier, and tied 19th on the first tier at the same venue. He also had a tied 22nd, tied 16th and tied 32nd at Jumeirah, tied 18th at Royal Greens, finished seven at Education City and also third at Doha. His current form is a concern, but he closed the year with a tied 24th in the Dubai Championship and was tied 12th after the first round in Abu Dhabi, despite finishing tied 75th. But this concern is justified by the big price, and it is also worth considering that he won the British Masters after four consecutive cuts. He has what it takes to be in contention and looks a good each-way bet.
