Closing the Gap
A win against Leicester in this clash will bring Pep Guardiola’s team just three points behind the Gunners, who won’t be in action until Sunday afternoon. It is difficult to see who can stop Manchester City now, especially as Leicester have been all over the place this season and are now involved in the relegation battle.
Leicester’s Struggles
The Foxes survival concerns have deepened after their 1-0 home defeat to Bournemouth. They are heading to the Etihad in 19th place in the Premier League table, with the management having decided to appoint Dean Smith as their manager for the remainder of the season.
This is likely to be a tough start for him with Leicester, who have lost eight of their last nine games and 10 of their last 15. Smith’s previous experience includes being sacked by Aston Villa and taking Norwich City to relegation, so he would have to work hard to prove that he is the man who can get the job done in the Midlands.

I believe Manchester City have everything they need to dominate this match against a struggling Leicester City side, who would have to look for safety points elsewhere. With the attack in top form, the Citizens are probably going to rip apart Leicester’s leaky defence in what should be a comfortable home win for the defending champions. The Foxes have the fourth-worst defensive record in the division and have shipped goals in their last 15 Premier League games.
Looking at the numbers, they are truly stellar, as Pep Guardiola’s men have won their last five games by at least three goals, netting a total of 24 goals in the period. At the Etihad, they have done even better, with 10 consecutive wins, and are surely well prepared for the challenge that lies ahead.

Backing Man City to win, however, will not deliver any value, so we have been looking a bit deeper to find an option that can return a decent amount. Despite their struggles, the Foxes have shown attacking prowess, as they have found the back of the net in four of their last five matches. They are also doing well on that front on the road, where they have scored 1.53 goals per game this season.
Their goals haven’t just been against low-table teams, as they have managed to score at least twice in four of their five visits to the top seven clubs this term.

I expect this to be the most one-sided affair of the Premier League weekend, with the Citizens likely dominating from the outset. Leicester do have a threat upfront and have been scoring consistently, so they might well find a consolation goal to make the passive a bit less humiliating.
