Portugal Masters Betting Tips
The European Tour will be in Portugal this week with a large number of top golf players competing with each other.
It is not surprising to see that bet365 have made Matt Wallace as the one to beat. Wallace has recorded top 15 finishes in his last two events and comes in Portugal in good confidence. He is available at 11/1 to top the table.
Several past winners are also towards the top of the betting market. Those are the likes of Andy Sullivan (33/1), Lucas Bjerregaard (22/1), Lewis (25/1) and Westwood (30/1). Odds look quite short considering their current form.
The one that is perhaps more interesting is Lewis. He is the defending champion having won the Portugal Open twice. He also showed some recent form by finishing in top five in the Alfred Dunhill last month.
The best bet of the Portugal Open looks to be Martin Kaymer. The German, who is an ex number 1, hasn’t done well in the last few years but he has had a great revival in 2019 and deserves some credit. At the French Open Kaymer managed to secure a top-five placement, and it looks as he will land a tournament win sooner rather than later. The two-time major champion can be backed at 18/1 with Bet Victor and looks perfect as an each-way bet.
