Match Preview & Team News
Bottom two teams will open the Matchday No 12 in the Premier League on Friday evening as Norwich City host Watford at Carrow Road. Neither of the outfits have been pulling up any trees lately and their head to head encounter represents a huge opportunity for one of them to shift their fortunes around.
Daniel Farke’s job is in jeopardize if the Canaries lose the tie. They took just one point from the last six league affairs, a streak which came just after the shocking 3-2 victory over the reigning champions Manchester City. Norwich won two of eleven leaguer games thus far, both on the home patch. However, they suffered two devastating defeats to the likes of Aston Villa (1-5) and Manchester United (1-3) in the last two league clashes at Carrow Road. The Red Devils also missed two penalties on the occasion, meaning Farke’s men could have easily conceded five goals in two successive home outings. The most recent of failures came six days ago when Norwich City fell 2-0 away at Brighton & Hove Albion.
Watford are still the only team in the division without a single victory in eleven matches. Nevertheless, they did left a somewhat better impression than their counterparts in the last couple of fixtures. The Hornets were on a three-draw streak before falling 1-2 to red-hot Chelsea last Saturday. The lack of attacking creativity is the biggest problem for Quique Sanchez Flores as his squad scored no more than six goals in the entire season (by far the worst attacking record in the division). They are now up against the second-worst defence in the competition. Can the Hornets finally produce up front?
Full Time Winner Odds & Prediction
Watford showed signs of improvements with Quique Sanchez Flores in charge. We expect them to secure the inaugural victory of the season on Friday evening. The away win is paid at the 29/20 odds.
Cards Market Prediction
Since neither of two outfits can afford a failure here, we expect a huge tension on the pitch. The Over 3.5 cards bet looks like a decent option at the 8/11 odds.
