DeChambeau To Win

£20 bet returns £420 with Betvictor

Main Bet: Bryson DeChambeau

The WGC tournament will take place in a new venue, The Concession, and this is a crucial thing to consider when looking for a potential winner. This 7,474 yard par 72 is likely to present a decent test for the players, and unfortunately, there aren’t too many clues for us. Said that it did stage the 2015 NCAA, and on that occasion, Bryson DeChambeau was the winner with 8-under.

Ball-striking is the key, so, in our opinion, Strokes Gained: Around The Green and Strokes Gained: Approach are the two key areas to concentrate on.

DeChambeau is currently 15th in Approach and 18th Around The Green, so he makes plenty of appeals if you are willing to forgive him for the poor display at Riviera last week. While the missed cut and the T18 in the Saudi International do highlight that he hasn’t been firing on all cylinders, he did manage to shoot a second-round 69 at Riviera, and could well be on the up again.

If he can hit it straighter here, he can enjoy the Bermuda putting surfaces better and revive memories in a place where he did very well in the past. Last time in Florida at Bay Hill, he finished fourth and, at this price, the US Open champion gets the vote.

Matt Fitzpatrick (Each-Way) To Win

£20 bet returns £620 with Betvictor

Each Way Bet: Matt Fitzpatrick

The Englishman was a protagonist of last week’s Riviera, with a very promising start that allowed him to be in contention and eventually finished tie for fifth.

On that occasion, he showed his superb short game by ranking 3rd for SG: Around The Green. So, he has the skills required do shine in this week’s tournament as well. Fitzpatrick has ended 9th and second both at Bay Hill in two of his last three appearances in Florida, and we are confident he will stroke it well on the Bermuda greens.

In addition to this, his record in WGC events is outstanding as in three of the last four, he finished tied sixth, tied fourth and tied seventh at the HSBC Champions.

He comes to Florida in reasonable confidence, having won the DP World Tour Championship four events ago. At this price, he looks like an excellent opportunity to back him to be in contention with an each-way bet.
