We believe that Neil Robertson has what it takes to go all the way, as he should be able to overcome Ronnie O’Sullivan on Friday. They have met in two of the previous events that complete the series, and have won a match each: the Rocket managed to win in the final of the Grand Prix, while the Thunder prevailed in the quarter-final of the Players Championship. Last year Robertson won against O’Sullivan in the final of the Tour Championship, and the Australian will feel confident that he can get the job done once again. The semi-final should be a cracking affair as both players are in great form, and the rivalry between these two has been growing over time.
Despite O’Sullivan having the advantage over Robertson on the head to head record overall, Robertson has won four of the last five meetings, and the Aussie is surely the man to beat in this tournament. Robertson is the best player in the world at the moment and looked in great form when hammering 10-6 Mark Allen in the previous round. He seems unstoppable, and there is good value in backing him to defeat O’Sullivan in the semi-final and go all the way to secure this trophy.
