Sungjae Im To Win

£20 bet returns £520 with Betvictor

Main Bet: Sungjae Im

A rather bizarre season comes to a finish at East Lake in Georgia, where a 30-man field competes for an incredible jackpot, with the winner taking home $18 million. With LIV around, though, the prize fund somehow becomes commonplace.
Because they all competed in tough fields to earn their spots, it would be good to imagine that prestige still mattered the most for every single one of the 30 candidates for East Lake.

Sungjae Im backed up his earlier strong performance in the Wyndham Championship by finishing tied second there last month.
Following a close call in the 3M Open, Im finished second for the second time in a row. Since his Sedgefield second, he has maintained his form by placing 12th at the St Jude Championship & 15th in this past week’s BMW Championship.

Strokes Gained: Off The Tee has historically been a reliable pointer, and this season, Im is ranked 9th in that category.
Bogey Avoidance is also important, and Im ranks first, so when we connect the dots, Sungjae is clearly a very strong candidate to win here also, considering the very good price.

Adam Scott (Each Way) To Win

£20 bet returns £770 (if placed) with Betvictor

Each-way Bet: Adam Scott

However, Adam Scott seems to be the clear favourite, so I’ll place my final wager on the Australian to once again shoot the lowest total over the course of the four competition days.

Starting with course performance, Scott is a previous Tour Championship champion from 2006, and on his most recent outing in 2019, he recorded the fifth-best 72-hole score in the modern era. In general, it’s a course that truly fits him and one on which, when driving properly, he can thrive.

That is the situation at the moment with the 2013 Masters champion, who has placed 21st or better in three of his past four starts for SG: Off The Tee. In the BMW last week, he finished 14th OTT. Speaking there, Scott expressed his happiness at having made it into East Lake.

Following his fifth-place performance at St Jude, which is also a course (TPC Southwind) with Bermuda greens and Zoysia fairways, he earned his second consecutive top-five result.
“I felt that I played pretty high-quality golf this week.” “I felt like I’d been playing at that great, high level again yesterday when I was out with Scottie Scheffler, who has obviously played phenomenally this year,” said Scott.

This year, I haven’t encountered as many circumstances. But I thought I had a strong game and was a top player. With nothing much to lose, I’ll go into the upcoming season with a lot of confidence and, ideally, maintain my head in this space where I think that I’m one of the greats around. Hopefully, this week has given me something to build on.
