Main Bet: Graeme Mcdowell
For the second time this month, we have two tournaments on the PGA Tour, as the golf’s elite are in Texas at the Dell Match Play event. The remaining rank and file members of the PGA Tour will have an excellent opportunity to shine in the Dominican Republic. Our first pick for the Corales Golf Club is Graeme McDowell, who tend to perform very well on Paspalum-grassed courses by the sea. He has already shown to be competitive in high-qualify field, and with this being a couple of levels below, he has what it takes to go all the way.
Mcdowell was 13th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and won the 2020 Saudi International on a coastal Par 72, featuring Paspalum greens. Although his form hasn’t been sensational lately, he should do well here, considering that his best results have been by the coast with a 4th place at the Sony (2020) and a 4th here at the Corales last year. A serious contender for this week with a top-notch price.

Each-way Bet: Adam Svensson
Adam Svensson has impressed in his second spell on the PGA Tour, and we expect him to be at least in contention here, considering that his correlating form looks good. In 2018 he won the Great Abaco Classic, which was played on the Abaco Club on Winding Bay on a Paspalum course. He followed that up with a 9th at the 2020 Great Exuma Classic, again featuring Paspalum and this season, he has finished 22nd at Bermuda, 7th at the Sony Open, and 9th at the Honda Classic. The Canadian has the talent to be in contention on this course and looks a great each-way punt.
