£20 bet returns £820 with Betvictor

Main Bet: Adam Svensson

The PGA Tour season is going very fast, and after the Open Championship now there are just three more regular-season events before the FedEx Cup Play-offs begin. Our main bet for this week is Adam Svensson. The Canadian is 46th for SG: Approach this season and was also 3rd in this metric when finished in 6th place at the Barbasol Championship last time seen. He has generally been in very good form if you consider that he was in the top 25 at the John Deere Classic, Travelers Championship and Canadian Open. But Svensson also has course form too. In his only start here in 2019 he finished tie for 15th and looks capable of improving that significantly, so he makes plenty of appeals at this high price.

Chris Gotterup (Each Way) To Win

£20 bet returns £135 (if placed) with Betvictor

Each-way Bet: Chris Gotterup

For our each-way punt, we are going for Chris Gotterup, who finished tied sixth in the John Deere Classic, and he comes here refreshed after a couple of weeks off. The nation’s top collegiate golfer also finished tied seventh in the Puerto Rico Open back in March, in what was his first start on the PGA Tour. He has very good stats regarding Driving Distance, and there is excellent value in backing him at this high price this week. He might not have what it takes to win here, but if he can keep focused, he can well be in contention in what is a course that should suit well his abilities. We expect him to bounce back after missing the cut at the Barbasol, and it is our each-way punt.
