Following a 5/1 winner and a 14/1 (10p R4) place yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races at Windsor on Monday 9th October. October P&L +29.85pts.
4:45 Windsor- Sir Plato 15/2 (1pt ew)
Sir Plato has ran at Windsor four times so far in his career and has won every start! Interestingly, he has shown poor form at other racecourses in between these victories and he arrives in this race having finished a disappointing 7th at Sandown last time. He has improved from a handicap mark of 57 at the start of the season up to a mark of 82 on his last start but has been dropped 2lb after a couple of poor runs. He therefore returns back to Windsor off a mark of only 2lb higher than his last win at the venue. That victory was on Good to Soft over C&D and he will have conditions the same in this race and I am shocked he opened at a double figure price. He has been backed into as short as 5/1 but 15/2 is still available and he looks a fantastic each way bet at his beloved Windsor.
5:15 Windsor- Nutini 7/4 (1pt)
Nutini was rated as high as 72 when trained by Madeleine Tylicki in Ireland and now runs in this race off a handicap mark of 60 for Malcolm Saunders. Despite being 0-13, he looks to have a brilliant chance in off the same mark as when a close second last time. That was over 5.5f on soft ground at Bath when he led until the final 100 yards of the contest and now runs over 6f at Windsor on Good to Soft ground. That looks a positive move given that his best form was up to a mile when trained in Ireland. Malcolm Saunders is in fantastic form at present with 3 winners from 6 runners in the last two weeks and he has booked top amateur Simon Walker for the ride showing that he is expected to go well.
