3:40 Kelso- Looksnowtlikebrian 5/2 (1pt)
Looksnowtlikebrian has taken well to chasing having won twice out of three starts. He ran well to finish second on his first start over fences in a Novices’ Handicap Chase despite making a mistake at the first fence. He made another mistake at the first on his second start but ended up bolting up by 12 lengths on heavy ground at Ffos Las. On his last start at Ayr, he jumped terribly but still managed to win at short odds. Looksnowtlikebrian is Richard Johnson’s only ride of the day and he can hopefully make it a winning one to complete the hat-trick.
4:50 Windsor- Unveiling 14/1 (0.5pt ew)
Unveiling makes her handicap debut at a time where the Jonny Portman stable is flying. He has had 20/1, 33/1 and 10/1 winning handicap debutants in the last two weeks and is currently operating at a 29% strike rate. Unveiling beat a stablemate on her debut in December when showing a good turn of foot on the AW to win by ½ length. She has ran well on her next two starts, both on the AW, and should improve for a switch to turf given her breeding. Her sire Mayson loved soft ground and it appears to have passed on to his progeny so the heavy ground shouldn’t be a problem and she can hopefully hit the frame.
