Leicester v Burnley Predictions & Betting Tips: Time For The Foxes To Get Going?

It’s a game between two sides with a shaky start to the season as Leicester host Burnley this weekend. Leicester was on the verge of a Champions League spot last season, but now the feeling is that they won’t compete at the very top this year. Brendan Rodgers is still looking to find the right balance and his best starting eleven – but they are, of course, huge favourites home to Burnley. Sean Dyche was given a new contract last week, but the feeling is that Burnley have lost their spark, and when even the defensive stability seems to be gone, there could be problems ahead for the Turf Moor team.

Tip Reasoning

Current Form And Home & Away Performances

Both teams advanced to the next round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday and Wednesday, and both sides were also able to rotate heavily as Burnley played Rochdale at home while Leicester went down to London and played Millwall and won 2-0. But the form in the league isn’t the best, and both sides lost at the weekend, where it was most disappointing for Leicester to leave Brighton without a point. Burnley lost to Arsenal at home, but if it wasn’t for a fantastic free-kick from Martin Odegaard they could’ve been shared points.

Goals Markets Betting Preview

Jamie Vardy is, of course, always a threat up front, and Burnley haven’t impressed defensively this season. But it looked better against Arsenal, and for Leicester, there are still a few things missing in their attack, in my opinion. I think Burnley can hold this to a quite tight game and where we will see the 0-0 result on the scoreboard for quite some time. So we’re backing there to be NO goals scored in the first half.

Betting Preview

Leicester can’t afford anything, but a win here and Brendan Rodgers and his team would be in early trouble if they don’t pick up all the three points. I think they’ll dig deep and get the win after the full 90′, but to add some flavour to it, I’ll back them to win with the exact margin of one goal. We went with this when Arsenal played Burnley last weekend, and we hope to be just as successful here.
