Main Bet: Matthew Jordan

Marco Simone GC in Rome will host the 2023 Ryder Cup, and it is an excellent course with a modern design. It has been transformed to accommodate the Ryder Cup, and we believe it will suit well Matthew Jordan. He will love the return to Italy, where he has won his first trophy at a professional level in the 2019 Italian Challenge Open. He heads to Italy in good form after finishing in sixth place at the Hero Open and tied fourth last week in the European Masters. Between June and early July he also had three consecutive top 20s, in addition to making the cut in the Cazoo Classic.

All his stats looks good as he is top 20 for Strokes Gained Tee to Green in the last three tournaments, top 21 for all three of those in Approach, and top 20 for Tee to Green. Everything points towards another great week for him in Italy, and the price is particularly generous.

Campillo (Each-Way) To Win

Each Way Bet: Jorge Campillo

Looking at the betting market, we found that Spain’s Jorge Campillo deserves a small each way punt. Although his form hasn’t been solid in recent times, he was third in the Alps on Saturday (finished tied 32), showing that he might be at the beginning of an upward curve. On his previous start at the Cazoo Classic he finished tied 21st and a few weeks ago was tied third at the BMW International Open. Surely if he can be in contention in Crans, Campillo can do as well on a less fiddly course that should be more in line with his qualities. At this price, he surely deserves a small each-way punt.
