5:35 Exeter- Monbeg Theatre 13/8 (1pt)
This is an interesting Beginners’ Chase to conclude the card at Exeter and preference goes to the Jamie Snowden trained Monbeg Theatre. The 10 year old is a five time winner over hurdles in his career and returns chasing for the first time since falling in 2017. Monbeg Theatre was in good form last season with three victories earning him a rating of 146 over hurdles.
Last year at Wincanton the favourite Padleyourowncanoe beat Monbeg Theatre by two lengths but was receiving over a stone and the pair now meet on level weights and that should be enough for Monbeg Theatre to reverse that form.
7:00 Kempton- Kasbaan 2/1 (1pt)
Kasbaan has won both of his starts over C&D since joining the Michael Appleby yard and was really impressive last time in the London Mile handicap. Sent off a well backed 11/4 favourite that day he travelled well before being pushed out to win by nearly two lengths.
Kasbaan has been raised 8lb for that win but that could still prove lenient and he can make it 4/4 on the AW in this race.
