Following a blank day yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Saturday 25th January. P&L -24.45pts.
12:55 Doncaster- Mister Fisher 6/4 (1pt)
Mister Fisher was a high class novice hurdler who found the ground too soft in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. He made a pleasing start over fences when second at Warwick on soft ground when he finished over 2 lengths ahead of the reopposing Lisp in this race.
Mister Fisher won a strong novice chase last time beating Good Boy Bobby and Beakstown over 2m4f. He has always shown plenty of pace so the drop back down to 2 miles should be no inconvenience to him and is a confident selection to beat Al Dancer even with 3lb to find on ratings.
4:05 Lingfield- Aguerooo 11/2 (1pt ew)
Aguerooo has C&D wins here off marks of 63, 66, 70, 86 and 90 so he is clearly well handicapped off a mark of 62. He won over this C&D last season in January off a mark of 63 before winning this race off a mark of 66 only 7 days later.
Agueroo had dropped down to a mark of 62 last time when 3rd at Wolverhampton (never won at the course) beaten less than a length and he should hold a good chance now returned to his favoured C&D.
