Following an 11/8 winner yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Saturday 9th November. P&L +16.87pts.
12:10 Kelso- Get Help 5/2 (1pt)
Get Help ran well in three novice hurdles last season before bettering those efforts on his two starts this season. He is consistent performer with form figures of 44232 and he looked to appreciate the step up to 2m5f last time at this course. That was in a handicap off a mark of 115 meaning he now has a rating of 119 which rates him 4lb higher than Vamanos despite them racing off level weights here.
Get Help has the fitness edge over most of his rivals and with a further step up in trip, he should prove hard to beat.
2:50 Naas- Longhouse Poet 9/4 (2pt)
This looks a really strong maiden hurdle but preference goes to the Martin Brassil trained Longhouse Poet. He won his only PTP easily when sent off 4/6 before winning a bumper at the Punchestown festival over 2m2f on his only start for the yard.
Longhouse Poet looked a strong stayer over 2m2f in a bumper so this 2m3f on hurdling debut should suit well and connections will hope he can emulate the good season had by City Island last year.
