Following a blank day yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races on Tuesday 14th January. P&L -17.5pts.
3:25 Fairyhouse- Ashdale Bob 11/10 (2pt)
Ashdale Bob ran to a good level on his first start in November at Punchestown before finishing 3rd on his next start at Naas. That was a strong contest behind Blue Sari with the second Home By The Lee and the fourth Jazzaway both winning their next starts and the winner Tiger Tap Tap following up at Clonmel.
Ashdale Bob has looked green and inexperienced in his two runs so far and should now be ready to win what looks a weak maiden hurdle.
5:30 Chelmsford- Arlecchino’s Leap 16/1 (0.5pt ew)
Arlecchino’s Leap has a good record at Chelmsford and won two races over C&D in 2018 with no headgear applied. Those victories came off marks of 63 and 66 before then completing the hat-trick at Wolverhampton off a mark of 72. He has since dropped down from a mark of 75 to 52 where he ran ok to finish 5th of 14 at Kempton.
Arlecchino’s Leap returns to Chelmsford clearly well handicapped on old form and looks worth chancing in this 0-55 handicap off a career low mark of 50.
