Gennady Golovkin makes his return to the ring this weekend to take on IBO and IBF middleweight mandatory challenger Kamil Szeremeta. Can GGG secure his 41st career win?
Gennady Golovkin v Kamil Szeremeta Betting Tips | 03:00 am Saturday, 19th December 2020
The last time we saw GGG in the ring was 14-months ago, and he will be keen to come back with a brilliant performance to prove he can still take on the likes of Canelo Alvarez. Golovkin will face undefeated Kamil Szeremeta in Florida on Saturday night, and although the Polish boxer has done well in the recent past, it is difficult to see a surprise here.
Given that this is a mandatory defence of the IBF and IBO middleweight titles, GGG will be determined to get the job done as soon as possible to concentrate on bigger fights, like the third meeting with Canelo. Szeremeta has won 21 fights since he became professional, but he has never been in the ring with someone like Golovkin. GGG has a record of 35 knockouts, and everything is pointing towards a 36 this weekend. The challenger will be hoping that there will be some rust for Golovkin who has not been in the ring since October 2019, but he has the quality to impress on his return.

Who will win Gennady Golovkin v Kamil Szeremeta fight?
The only time Golovkin hasn’t finished with a win has been against Canelo Alvarez. In September 2018 he lost with a majority decision and all his WBA (Super), WBC and IBO middleweight titles went to his opponent. The two also had a draw in September 2017, so a third fight is in the pipeline, but first Golovkin will have to defeat Szeremeta. We believe he will be too slow and not powerful enough to worry GGG.
