Following a 6/4 winner yesterday, Steve Ryder previews two races from Dundalk on Friday 8th February. P&L +27.78pts.
5:00 Dundalk- Yuften 10/11 (1pt)
Yuften was a top level handicapper earlier in his career and achieved a peak rating of 105 when winning the Balmoral Handicap at Ascot on Champions Day. Following a dip in form he was bought for only 7,000gns in October 2018 but won on his stable debut in a claimer for John Feane in November.
Yuften is worse off at the weights with Hasselnott in this race but should be too good for his rivals once again.
5:30 Dundalk- Fashaar 8/1 (0.5pt ew)
Fashaar has solid course record with form figures of 13415 including victories off marks of 65 and 69. The latter was a victory less than a year ago and he ran with credit on the AW at Wolves in July to finish second.
Fashaar runs here off a mark of 71 on his belated reappearance but the Anthony McCann stable are in good form (1-3 in the last two weeks) and he should run well with four places on offer.
