Following a 28/1 place yesterday, Steve Ryder previews three races at Dundalk on Friday 11th January. P&L -1.29pts.
5:00 Dundalk- Ken’s Sam’s 14/1 (0.5pt ew)
Ken’s Sam’s ran well last week over this C&D to finish 6th considering she was running 18lb out of the handicap. She has been raised 9lb for that effort but runs here off a revised mark of 54 in comparison to running off a mark in theory of 63 last week.
That was Ken’s Sam’s stable debut for Adrian McGuiness and considering her two victories in his career have come off marks of 62 and 69, she remains well handicapped off a mark of 54 in a race where bookmakers are offering four places each way.
5:30 Dundalk- Yuften 4/5 (5pt)
Yuften was a top level handicapper earlier in his career and achieved a peak rating of 105 when winning the Balmoral Handicap at Ascot on Champions Day. Following a dip in form he was bought for only 7,000gns in October 2018 but won on his stable debut in a claimer for John Feane in November.
Yuften beat Hasselnott that day by 4 lengths and should do so again given that Yuften is actually better off at the weights with that rival and also miles clear on ratings with the remainder of the field.
7:30 Dundalk- Pulsating 16/1 (1pt ew)
Pulsating has ran well at this course since joining Gavin Cromwell with C&D victories coming off marks of 62 and 67 in October. She has now dropped a couple of pounds back down to a mark of 65 meaning she can drop back into a 45-65 handicap off top weight.
Pulsating ran a good race to finish 6th over C&D last time from Stall 13 so from Stall 6 off a 2lb lower mark in a weaker race she should go well with Paddy Power offering four places each way.
