Foxhunter Steeple Chase Betting Preview & Tips
Day 4 – Friday 13th March 2020 – 4.10pm – Christie’s Foxhunter Chase Challenge Cup – Class 2 – 3m2f110y
The Foxhunters Chase is a very popular Cheltenham Festival race which is coming just after the Gold Cup. It is, in fact, the Gold Cup for amateur riders and older horses. The distance is the same as the main Gold Cup, so it is a gruelling test which is over a trip of three miles, two and half furlongs. Horses that have the best jumping and stamina can be competitive. The race is open to chasers, and the age limit is five year and above, so you will see plenty of veterans here.
The Foxhunters Chase is the most prestigious hunter chase of the season, and it is always very competitive.
Our Bet: MINELLA ROCCO
This horse did well here as finished second in the Gold Cup behind Sizing John in 2017. She can deliver again even if she has lost his way since. The hunter chases company seems to have got back on track this season and, with the experience over this course, can edge it.
Our Verdict: Minella Rocco
