England’s Euro 2020 Squad Odds

Given the relatively safe position in the table, Southgate will be able to do some experiments this week and welcome some new faces into the team. Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea and Tyrone Mings from Aston Villa have all gained national popularity in the recent months. Time will tell, however, if they will be able to make it into the final 23-man squad that Southgate will decide to take to the Euro 2020.

According to PaddyPower.com this will be, at the moment, the final England’s Euro 2020 squad:

  • Jordan Pickford (1/25)
  • Tom Heaton (1/2)
  • Nick Pope (4/11)

  • Trent Alexander-Arnold (1/7)
  • Kyle Walker (1/2)
  • John Stones (1/5)
  • Harry Maguire (1/5)
  • Joe Gomez (3/10)
  • Michael Keane (1/1)
  • Ben Chilwell (3/10)
  • Danny Rose (5/6)

  • Jordan Henderson (1/10)
  • James Maddison (1/5)
  • Declan Rice (3/10)
  • Dele Alli (3/10)
  • Mason Mount (1/2)
  • Harry Winks (8/13)
  • Jesse Lingard (8/11)

  • Raheem Sterling (1/25)
  • Harry Kane (1/25)
  • Jadon Sancho (1/20)
  • Marcus Rashford (1/9)
  • Tammy Abraham (8/11)

Looking at bookmakers expectations, it seems like that ten players that took part in the 2018 World Cup campaign will not make the cut. Also, six players that will face the Czech Republic and Bulgaria will not be in the squad this summer. Those are Mings (7/4), Tomori (5/2) Trippier (1/1), Barkley (5/6), Delph (6/4) and Wilson (4/1).

According to Paddy Power, the likes of Kyle Walker, Dele Alli and Jesse Lingard will make it to the final Euro 2020 squad although they haven’t made to the current England’s team. The reason behind that is probably because they have all been key members of Southgate’s team in recent times.

Surely we are still a long way from the Euro 2020 and lots can change. For instance, some players can certainly make it into the team like Phil Foden (2/1 with Paddy Power) and Jack Grealish (9/2 with the same firm).
