Davis Cup Tennis Odds
The Davis Cup is a tennis competition where men’s international team compete each year. The first edition was organised way back in 1899 when Harvard University organised a tournament against the British team. In 1945 the tournament changed the name to the current Davis Cup. That was done in honour of Dwight Davis who was one of the original Harvard players who contributed to creating the tournament.
One Davis Cup Match is made of five rubbers, four singles and one doubles all of them are played over five sets. Every team are selecting two players to play the singles rubbers and everyone has to play the opposing two singles players on either side of the doubles. Even though there is a maximum of four players per team, it can happen that a player will feature in both singles and doubles. The team that is winning is the one that first reaches three rubbers.
