David Avanesyan v Josh Kelly Predictions & Tips
£20 bet returns £50 with Bet365
Josh Kelly is coming to this match yet unbeaten as a professional boxer, having recorded 10 wins and one draw from his 11 fights. He will be keen to stretch this further this weekend when he takes on David Avanesyan. The 26-year-old has also competed in Rio in 2016 and has won six of his 10 fights by KO and the remaining four by decision.
His only draw was against Ray Robinson in June 2019. Although Kelly dominated that fight initially, Robinson managed to resist and eventually took the bout to the judges who decided for the draw.

Who will win David Avanesyan v Josh Kelly fight?
Russian Avanesyan is the current holder of the European welterweight belt, which he took in March 2019 after defeating Spain’s Kerman Lejarraga. Since that date, he has defended the title twice: he first knocked out Lejarraga in the rematch and delivered the same treatment to Jose Del Rio in December 2019.
Avanesyan has excellent experience as he comes with a record of 26 wins, three defeats and a draw. Kelly would have to be very careful against the 32-year old, but we believe the younger fighter can get an edge.
Kelly can come out all guns blazing and release plenty of up-close hooks to cause problems to his opponent. If he can do that consistently over time, he has a great chance of taking this fight to the judge or getting a KO later on.
We believe there is value in backing the Sunderland fighter to overcome the Russian by decision. He can be patient, and we have seen some generous scoring from the judges in recent fights that have favoured the home fighters. Avanesyan might be concerned about this and likely to take some risks during the bout to avoid the British judges’ lottery. This is likely to expose him even further so Kelly to win by decision looks the best bet, all considered.
