Daily Double Tips | The Blades to stay unbeaten in their maiden home fixture of the season!
Hi all. We are hoping to forget the previous double as soon as possible as we were way off with the predictions. We went for Leeds United to see off Nottingham Forest at Elland Road. The Peacocks broke the deadlock at the hour-mark through Pablo Hernandez, but Lewis Grabban brought the Reds back on terms to set the final score 13 minutes from time.
Watford’s demolishing 0-3 home loss at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion was surely the biggest upset of the opening Matchday in the Premier League. We backed the Hornets to get off to the right start at their Vicarage Road Stadium.
Anyhow, here are the matches set to get us back on track with this section:
#1 Sheffield United v Crystal Palace
Sheffield United managed to avoid a defeat in their first Premier League fixture since 2006 as they found the late equalizer last weekend away at Bournemouth. It was their veteran striker Billy Sharp who came on from the bench to bag a goal and secure a huge confidence-boosting point for the Blades.
Chris Wilder’s men have a decent chance to make it two successive top-flight games without a defeat on Sunday afternoon when they play host to Crystal Palace at Bramall Lane. The Glaziers started their campaign with a goalless draw to Everton at Selhurst Park. They are winless in three consecutive games and they have failed to find the back of the net in the last two against Hertha and Everton.
The first pick will be Sheffield United or Draw Double Chance at the odds of 2/5!
#2 Reading v Cardiff City
Both Reading and Cardiff City have huge problems with the lack of defensive meticulousness at the start of the new Championship campaign. The hosts conceded five goals in two losses to Sheffield Wednesday and Hull City, If we count pre-season friendlies and the opening fixture of the League Cup as well, each of last five matches the Royals have played saw goals scored at both ends.
The same scenario happened in both of Cardiff City’s Championship affairs so far. The Bluebirds fell 3-2 away at Wigan Athletic before beating newly-promoted Luton Town 2-1 on the home patch last weekend. We can’t imagine any of these two sides keeping a clean sheet when they come across each in the last Championship game of the week.
The second bet is Both Teams To Score at the odds of 4/5!
