Daily Double Tips | Roma and Crystal Palace to Snatch Wins on Boxing Day!
Hi all. The daily double is back after a ten-day break as we cherry-picked two home wins on Boxing Day for you. The previous update to this section was not quite successful as Hansa Rostock could only snatch one point from their home tie against Aalen. We backed the home win at the 7/10 odds there, but Hansa only notched the 96th-equalizer on the occasion.
The second bet saw us hit the 13/10 odds, though. We went for the home win the Portuguese Primeir Liga tie between Boavista and Tondela. The hosts eased to a comfortable 2-0 victory via first-half goals from Matheus Indio and Rafael Lopes.
Let0s make it count this time around with the following double:
#1 Crystal Palace v Cardiff City
Crystal Palace are responsible for the biggest upset of the season. They shocked reigning champions Manchester City 2-3 on the road on Saturday afternoon to leave Pep Guardiola’s troops four points behind Liverpool at the top of the standings. It was the second consecutive win for Roy Hodgson and his men who escaped the red zone and moved on to 14th place in the league ladder.
The Glaziers will have a phenomenal opportunity to extend the winning thread and make it three on the trot on Boxing Day when they host strugglers Cardiff City at Selhurst Park. The lone Welsh team in the top flight has been struggling badly on travels so far in the season. They lost seven and drew one of eight away fixtures in the league. The home win is thus a genuine banker at the odds of 13/20.
The first bet is Crystal Palace to win at the odds of 13/20!

#2 Roma v Sassuolo
Roma fell down to 10th place after losing 1-0 to leaders Juventus on Saturday. It has indeed been an underwhelming campaign for Eusebio Di Francesco and his men so far in the season. Can the mid-week tie against Sassuolo be their turning point? Di Francesco can be optimistic given his talisman Edin Dzeko is recovered from injury. The Bosnian striker is expected to feature from the first minute here. Roma are a completely different team with Dzeko on the pitch.
Sassuolo sit eighth in the league ladder and are unbeaten in last five matches in all competitions. However, we can hardly see them stay competitive against the likes of Roma here. The Romans bagged nine goals in last three home matches in the league against the likes of Sampdoria, Inter and Genoa.
The second bet is Roma to win at the odds of 8/15!
