Daily Double Tips | Liverpool to survive the Leicester test!
Greetings everyone. We were brutally denied by a last-gasp stoppage-time equalizer from Chris Martin who saved Derby County at the death of the affair against Leeds United two weeks ago at Elland Road. We backed the Peacocks to claim a home win against the out-of-form Rams on the occasion, but they let us down with a surprisingly slow display in front of the home crowd.
The second bet of the double was a winner as we went for the Under 2.5 goals FT pick in the Derby della Madonnina. Inter Milan preserved the perfect record in the Serie A thanks to a 0-2 victory over arch-rivals at Stadio San Siro. Marcelo Brozovic and Romelu Lukaku were goal-scorers.
The BT4Y cherry-picked two bets for the new weekend double after we skipped the last week’s attempt. Here they are:
#1 Liverpool v Leicester
Liverpool look unstoppable at the start of the season. They have a perfect record of seven wins in seven Premier League rounds even though they’ve already played the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea so far in the campaign. The Reds also managed to get their Champions League campaign up and running on Wednesday evening when they survived the Salzburg scare beating the Austrians 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s men scored at least two goals in six of seven league affairs so far in the season. They bagged three or more goals in each of the four home outings across competitions this term. Leicester have also enjoyed a fantastic spell of form lately. They notched nine goals in the last two wins over Luton Town (0-4 in the League Cup) and Newcastle United (5-0 in the Premier League). However, we doubt the visitors have what it takes to end Liverpool’s incredible run away from home.
The first bet is Liverpool to win at the odds of 4/9!
#2 PSG v Angers
Angers are the most positive surprise of the season so far in Ligue 1. They hold the second place in the league ladder and are only two points shy of the reigning champions PSG after 8 rounds of the competition. However, we have to say that they’ve collected most of their points in front of the home fans where they’ve won four from four so far in the league.
Les Scoistes lost two of three away outings this term, including the 6-0 embarrassment against Olympique Marseille at Stade Velodrome. PSG will welcome Kylian Mbappe back to the starting line-up, while Neymar should also feature the game. The difference in quality between Les Parisiens and the rest of the league is huge and we expect the champions to cruise their way to a comprehensive victory here.
The second pick will be PSG to have the lead at the half time and win the match at the end at the odds of 8/13!
