Daily Double Tips | Leeds United to Back up the Opening Victory!
Hi all. Sadly, Fulham crushed our previous double as they failed to find the back of the net in a narrow 0-1 defeat to West Ham United during their pre-season schedule. We backed goals at both ends in the clash at Craven Cottage.
The second pick was a winner as Trabzonspor and Parma produced a four-goal thriller which ended in a 2-2 draw. We went for the Over 2.5 goals FT bet there.
The Premier League season kicked off with the clash between Liverpool and Norwich City on Friday evening but the true action is scheduled for Saturday. We decided to back Watford to claim the spoils on the home patch on the opening Matchday. Here is the double:
#1 Leeds United v Nottingham Forest
Leeds United were the most impressive of all teams in the first round of the new Championship campaign. They stormed past Bristol City with ease beating them 1-3 away at Ashton Gate Stadium. The Peacocks have a nice opportunity to back up such win with a result in Saturday’s early clash against Nottingham Forest at Elland Road.
The Reds opened the new season with a 1-2 defeat to West Bromwich Albion at The City Ground. They revealed their defensive vulnerability by allowing two or more goals in three of last four games against the likes of Olympiakos Piraeus, Real Sociedad, and West Brom.
Marcelo Bielsa’s troops are clear favourites and we see the home win here as a genuine banker.
The first pick is Leeds United to win at the odds of 8/15!
#2 Watford v Brighton & Hove Albion
The value is decent in backing the Hornets to get off to a victorious start to the new season at their Vicarage Road Stadium. They took most of their previous term points in front of their fans and they will go into this season opener in the highest of spirits following a three-win run.
Watford defeated the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Queens Park Rangers and Real Sociedad in last three friendlies allowing just two goals along the way. They are up against a side which has been struggling to pull up any trees on travels last year in the Premier League. The evens odds offered for the home win bet are too good to be skipped.
The second bet is Watford to win at the 1/1 odds!
