2:10 Cheltenham- Whiskey Sour 7/1 (1pt ew)
Whiskey Sour ran really well to finish 3rd in this race last year as a novice on only his fourth start over hurdles. He ran off a mark of 141 last year and runs in it off a mark of 144 this year which is only 1lb higher than his Irish mark. He hasn’t ran over hurdles since finishing 7th when sent off favourite for the Galway Hurdle where the race wasn’t ran to suit him.
Willie Mullins has a fantastic record in this race with four winners of the last nine renewals and this race has looked the long term plan for Whiskey Sour. Bookmakers are offering seven places each way in this race and hopefully Ruby Walsh can get back in the winners enclosure after this race.
