Martin Pipe Conditional Jockey’s Handicap Hurdle Betting Preview & Tips
Day 4 – Fri 13th Mar 2020 – 5.30pm – Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f110y
The last race of the Cheltenham Festival 2020 is the two and a half mile Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle. It is not an easy race to predict, and the key is to find a capable jockey that can resist the temptation to go too fast at the beginning. Usually, the leading conditional jockeys also ride for the top stables as that give them the biggest chance of landing a trophy.
It is important to note that no horse or jockey has won this race more than one time, but trainer Willie Mullins has a top record here with three wins in 2011, 2014 and 2015. Gordon Elliott is following closely having won twice in 2017 and 2018.
Our Bet: COLUMN OF FIRE
Gordon Elliott is tipped to finish the 2020 Cheltenham Festival with a win. This six-year-old has had a series of top performances in competitive handicap this season and should be tough to stop if can repeat a similar effort on Friday.
