Real Betis vs Sporting Gijon – Primera Division.
Estadio Benito Villamarin, Sevilla – 20 February, 19:30.
Match Preview and Betting Tips.
Betis will be hosting Sporting Gijon on Saturday as part of Week 25 of Primera Division. Potential winner in this match would probably secure themselves nice stash of points and run from the bottom. Betis are currently in better form, considering last 5 matches at least, which was enough to bookmakers to mark them as favorites in this match. Odds on home victory are 1/1 at the moment, but considering the fact that two maybe key players for Spoting Gijon D.N’Di and B.Espinosa got injured last week, I wouldn’t be surprised to see those odds go even lower. First match between these two opponents was a real 6 goal thriller, ending in 3 – 3 draw. A.Halilovic, Croatian youngster on loan from Barcelona have scored two goals for Gijon, while R. van Wolfswinkel did the same for Betis. It was definitely one of the most enjoyable matches in 2015 to watch.
Situation with Betis and their injury list isn’t better at all. Three names are on it; Fabian Ruiz, Joaquin and C.Piccini are unable to participate in this match. Real Betis are currently on 14th position with 26 points, still pretty far away from the red zone. Last weekend they had another very interesting draw against Deportivo La Coruna away from home. Even though he is more or less veteran, Ruben Castro is doing amazing job this season for Betis. He scored 10 goals in 24 appearances, despite the fact he is 34 years old.
Sporting Gijon are in slightly worse situation than their opponents. Even though they have lost their match against Barcelona last weekend, they have shown a lot of energy on the pitch and had 1 – 1 result for 30 minutes thanks to goal of Carlos Castro.
