Main Bet: Chris Gotterup
With all the big names in the Scottish Open, there are many betting opportunities this week in this tournament. Our first pick for this week is Chris Gotterup, who won the prestigious Fred Haskins Award earlier in the season for being the top nation’s top collegiate golfer. Gotterup has made a brilliant start to his pro career, as he was tied seventh at the Puerto Rico Open in March, in what was his first-ever PGA Tour start. He followed that performance at the US Open last month, where he made the cut and finished tied 43rd. Since the US Open he has also finished tied 35th at the Travelers Championship and tied fourth in last week’s John Deere Classic.
All in all, he has two top sevens in four regular PGA Tour events, which is clearly a fantastic start. At the John Deere, he ranked tied 11 for birdies and was tied 5 for birdies in Puerto Rico. He also ranked in the top three for Driving Distance in four of the last five events and was 2nd for both SG: Tee To Green and SG: Approach at the John Deere. At this price, he looks value to secure an early win and lock up a PGA Tour card.

Each Way Bet: Chesson Hadley
If we look at the current form, we cannot forget Chesson Hadley. Hadley has secured two top 10 in the last two starts, and was also fifth at the Travelers Championship. In last week’s John Deere Classic, he was 10th, so he is clearly playing some solid golf now. Hadley ranked in the top five for birdies at the John Deere last week, and if we look at his career we can see that he tends to line up several good performances when he is in good form. Also, this time of the year tends to be a good one for him, so he can certainly be in contention to add a second PGA Tour win, after the 2014 Puerto Rico Open success.
